To Make the Bed or Not To

There is nothing like walking in the door after a busy day out and finding the floor has been vacuumed, the bathroom has been cleaned and supplied with fresh clean, white towels, and the bed has been made with fresh sheets and fluffed pillows. You may think that pampered feeling only happnes for $100 a night at a nice hotel. But you can have that pampered feeling if you take a few extra minutes and make the bed in the morning. Seems like a lot in the morning, but it is such a nice surprise when you walk in the bedroom door at night.

Most people think making the bed is fluff when compared to all the other more important chores that need to get done in the house.  Mornings can be rushed just trying to get out the door so if the bed doesn't get made, who really cares? Nobody really but you will miss that pampered feeling when you get home.
Here's a quick 'to do' list to get that "the maid was here"  feeling at the end of your busy day:
    1. Set your alarm 5 minutes early and don't hit the snooze.
    2. As soon as you stand up, straighten up the sheets and press out the comforter or bedspread.
3 Fluff the pillows and fold up any extra blankets and leave them on the end of the bed.
4 Organize anything on the bathroom counter as you get ready for work and wipe down the counter as soon as you are done.
5 Straighten the towels on the towel rack and make sure the clothes made it into the hamper.
6 If you haven't used up your five minutes, make sure your clothes are hung up  and straighten the tops of your dresser. Stack any books or projects you left out the night before.
7 Close the door on your way out.
------------------------------------5 minutes are up!------------------------------------
By the time you get home you will likely forget about those extra five minutes you spent fluffing and straightening up. You'll open the door and shout, "Yippee, the maid was here!"  Who will notice? You will because you'll have the pampered feeling of a nice hotel.
